Exercising Democracy
consists of a series of images in which democracy is conceived in the form of board games and brainteasers. The images posit the idea of democracy as a complicated system, which is reproduced through strategies of normalization, homogenization, depersonalization and regulated practices of inclusion/exclusion. Furthermore, in these visual statements democracy is conceptualized as a system of governance through which bio-politics is exercised in contemporary societies.
